Building great communities goes beyond creating new townhomes and world-class amenities. We believe it’s a genuine sense of caring for people, and empowering them to achieve their best, that makes a neighbourhood a truly great place to live. That’s why we’re committed to giving back to those who have helped us attain our position as a leader in Calgary and Airdrie home sales.

Every year, we support a range of community-based organizations through sponsorship and advocacy. From social issues to environmental causes, we’re grateful for the opportunity to help make our communities places to not just live but to thrive.

Genesis Centre

Our $5 million gift to this 225,000 sq. ft. recreation facility provides individuals and families in Calgary’s northeast communities with an opportunity to enrich their lives through health and wellness. In addition to a full complement of fitness and recreation services, the complex provides facilities for large cultural events and access to a range of human and social services for a uniquely holistic approach to personal and community health.

The Genesis Centre of Community Wellness opened its doors in 2012, following 15 years of planning and fundraising. Its amenities include 1000 Voices, a human services area used for community meetings, discussion groups, cultural events, and other services for residents of Calgary; Saddletowne YMCA, which hosts a variety of events for persons of all ages; and Saddletowne Library. Attracting a million visits per year, the Genesis Centre serves an important role in fostering community relations among Canadians from a wide spectrum of cultures and backgrounds.

Genesis Place Recreation Centre

We were honoured to provide $2 million for the expansion and renovation of this state-of-the-art recreation facility, located in the rapidly growing community of Airdrie. Featuring a wide spectrum of fitness and leisure activities—including twin NHL-size ice surfaces and 250-seat grandstand, twin soccer fields, multiple pools, a waterslide, indoor track, and two gymnasiums—Genesis Place is a natural gathering point for friends, families, and neighbours to connect and grow.

The facility is open seven days a week, and various types of passes—daily, 10-time, monthly, annual, and more—are available. In addition to its athletic amenities, it offers a broad range of room rental programs, including Not for Profit rentals at reduced rates, for members of the community who need a space for special events.
