House hunting resources for Calgary and Airdrie

If you’re in the market for a new home, or are just interested in the goings on of the housing market in Calgary and Airdrie, there are plenty of convenient resources to keep you well-informed. Instead of looking around for a complete library, we’ve summarized where to look in one convenient list.

• Calgary Herald: this daily publication is available in print and online, with the most up-to-date housing news found in the Real Estate section. In addition, they also feature a weekly Homes section which comes out on Saturdays, featuring new homes, housing news and trends.
• Calgary Sun: this is another daily newspaper viewable in print and online, which features an in-depth Homes section on Saturdays, featuring home tips, real estate news and more.
• CREB Real Estate News: this publication is printed by the Calgary Real Estate Board, and is available every Friday, or you can view their blog daily online. In addition to real estate news and views, you can also browse every single active MLS® listing there too.
• City of Calgary: the City’s online newsroom features information on City initiatives, community news and events.
• City of Airdrie: the City’s resident portal gives you any information you’ll need on City services, property development and community features.
• Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA): whether you’re buying, building or renovating a home, the CHBA website has everything you need to know. Plus, their online blog features the latest in the home building industry.
• Smarter Growth: this online portal is a CHBA initiative, established to educate and engage Calgarians in dialogue around trends and issues in urban planning and development.
• New Home Living Magazine: this monthly print magazine is also available online, featuring everything new homes in Calgary and Airdrie. Everything from new home developments, design trends and housing industry news can be found in the magazine.
• Condo Living Magazine: this is also a monthly print magazine, available online, that takes on much of the same topics as New Home Living Magazine, except for the condo market. Get the inside scoop on new condo developments, trends in apartment and townhome living and more.
