Where to find inspiration for home design

With the Internet and social media these days, finding never-ending inspiration for your home is just a click away. If you are looking for a quick guide on what accounts to follow and where to find the best home design ideas, we have curated this easy list for you.

  • Condo Living: this is a local magazine that comes out monthly, often with great home design features (with a Calgary tie-in as well). You can find new articles on their website every month here.
  • My Domaine: this is a hyperactive blog site with social media channels that publish constant feeds of home inspiration from organization to decor to full-blown design.
  • HGTV: we know you may be glued to HGTV on your television all the time (we sure are), but did you know their website offers lots of ideas and tricks as well?
  • House and Home: this is a Canadian magazine with an online version that features home tours of some of the most beautifully designed homes in our country, plus tips and tricks as well.
  • Domino: if you haven’t yet heard about this popular website and social media feed, you need to bookmark it now. From the ‘how’ to the ‘wow’, the ideas on this site will have you checking back often.
  • Houzz: this is the Pinterest of home design and architecture. This social media site is dedicated solely to homes and you will find every idea for renovations, home building or home design possible.
  • Pinterest: this is a tried and true place to find inspiration online! The best part is being able to create your own boards and pin your favourite DIY ideas, home decor finds and home design trends.
  • Style at Home: this print publication is great if you like to flip through pages, but their online presence is still full of gorgeous home ideas you don’t want to miss.

Where do you currently go online for home design inspiration and ideas? We would love to hear your favourites, share with us on social media!
