Why so many Calgarians are moving to Saddle Ridge/Saddlestone

The results of the 2015 Calgary census are in, and it turns out Calgarians are flocking to the northeast community of Saddle Ridge, one of the fastest-growing neighbourhoods in Calgary, with an increase of 1,219 residents in the past year alone.

For a bit of background on the census results, Calgary’s population grew to 1,230,915 residents (up 35,721 people). There were nine communities that welcomed 1,000 or more residents in the past year, all of which are Calgary suburbs: Evanston, Mahogany, Auburn Bay, Cranston, Copperfield, Saddle Ridge, Nolan Hill, Redstone and Skyview Ranch.

Saddle Ridge is a community on the northeast edge of the city, bordered by 96 Avenue and 68 Street. Right next door to Saddle Ridge is the master-planned community of Saddlestone, an environmentally-friendly, picturesque and tranquil neighbourhood convenient and close to everything you need.
