Home Maintenance: The Right Tools For The Job

In order to keep your home in tip-top shape after you move in, you’ll want to keep some basic tools on hand, to take care of simple repair and maintenance jobs. Regular maintenance on your home will help keep everything running smoothly, and prevent future problems from coming up.

Keeping the right set of tools in your home, will allow you to tackle smaller maintenance jobs, and avoid costly repair bills from hiring outside help. Here’s a list of the basic tools to keep on hand:

• Caulking gun
• Chisel
• Drill and drill bits
• Dust mask
• Fasteners (screws, bolts, etc.)
• Flashlight
• Hammer
• Nail set
• Ladder (step and extenstion)
• Level
• Pliers
• Measuring tape
• Safety goggles
• Sandpaper
• Screwdriver
• Saw
• Staple gun
• Toilet plunger
• Utility knife
• Wrench
